Belize 2001

The Belize was the destination of a 2 weeks diving and jungle adventure vacation. Our first station was Hopkins Village, which we used as a base for visiting the Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary and diving the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. We then travelled to San Ignacio in central Belize and made trips to Maya ruins and the Mountain Pine Ridge. The highlight, however, was a walking and swimming tour inside the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave, with was used as location for a human sacrifices. We ended our vacation on Caye Caulker with several days of diving.
