Dachstein 2015

The Dachstein mountain range in the Austrian state of Styria has it all: mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, deep gorges and alpine meadows with crystal clear lakes. We did via ferrata tours to the Dachstein summit, the Koppenkarstein, Gjaidstein and the Siega in the Silberkarklamm. Opposite of the Dachstein, we went up the Hochwurzen with a cable car and down with a gokart. In Rohrmoos-Untertal, we went "through the hell" on an alpine path along waterfalls to the beautiful mountain Riesachsee lake. We visited the Hohenwerfen Fortress near Salzburg and saw an impressive falconry flight show. The Federal Stud Piber near Graz is the birth place of the Lipizzaner horses. The guided tour shows, how much effort is put into breeding those amazingly beautiful horses.
