Dubai 2017 |
|
| Dubai was our 3-day intermediate stop-over from South Africa to Germany. This is where our Petro-Euros go: ultra-modern skyscrapers, artificial islands and mega shopping malls with indoor-skiing, all build on sand in a desert. We have been in the Dubai Mall, visited the top of the Burj Khalifa at 555m, participated at a tour in the Jumeirah Mosque, did the Dubai Ferry Mini-Cruise with a gulf-view on the Dubai skyline and the luxury apartments on Palm Jumeirah, went on a Sundowner Dune Dinner Safari with a 4x4 in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, and - to top this all - did indoor skiing at -2°C at the Mall of the Emirates (at outside temperatures of 30°C). |
