Formarinsee 2018

We spent our summer vacation 2018 in the alps at three of the top alpine locations for hiking, climbing and spectacular mountain scenery. We started at the Formarinsee and stayed for two nights at the Freiburger Hütte. We walked up to the Saladina Peak at 2230m, then walked around the Formaletsch on a geological path, and ran back to the hut when a thunder storm approached. Next day, we went on the very long and strenuous path to the Rote Wand with its summit at 2704m. On our way, we saw marmots and ibexes.
