Grimsel & Zermatt 2019 |

| Switzerland is so beautiful, so we visited the region for a second time this year. First, we went to the Grimselwelt touristic area. This included the Reichenbach Falls, one day of climbing the Tälli via ferrata, a hike to the spectacular Trift suspension bridge, a tour through the power plant Grimsel 2 at the Räterichsboden dam and a hike around the Gelmer reservoir. We spend one day at the Aletsch glacier, hiking from the Bettmeralm along the Aletsch glacier hiking path to the Fiescheralp, and then going up to the Eggishorn. In Zermatt, we visited the Matterhorn glacier area and Gornergrat, and hiked the Matterhorn glacier trail at the foot of the iconic Matterhorn. Sad to see, that some glaciers, like the Furgg glacier, almost ceased to exist. |
