Greece 2021

We embarked with a friend on an NCL cruise ship with destinations in the Aegean Sea. We visited Cyprus with an excursion to the Kourion archaeological site, then continued to Crete and visited the Minoan palace of Knossos. Next stop was in Rhodes with a tour to the ancient Acropolis of Lindos. On Santorini, we saw Oia, Imerovigli and Fira. On the tiny island of Patmos, we visited the famous windmills and monasteries. While in Volos, we made a tour to the hillside village of Makrinitsa. Our last cruise destination was Mitilini on Lesbos, with excursions to local villages. Back in Athens, we visited the Acropolis and its museum, the National Archaeological Museum and made an E-bike tour through the city. At the end of our vacation, we made day trips to Delphi and Meteora with a rental car.
