We visited two skiing locations in one week in South Tyrol for skiing. First, we stayed in the mountain village of Sulden at the foot of the Ortler mountain in the Vinschgau valley. Due to its high altitude at 1900m, skiing is fairly safe there even at the end of March. We then drove to the Schnalstal, where the well-preserved glacier mummy, Ötzi, was found nearby the Schnalstal glacier. We stayed at the highest hotel in Europe at 3212m ASL, the Glacier Hotel Grawand. The slopes are exceptionally well prepared there and we enjoyed skiing for two days on the glacier and nearby mountains.
